Risk Change project meeting was hosted by the 7scenes (mobile learning and gaming platform) in Amsterdam. It took place in February 15–17, 2017, in a newly renovated industrial area, in a spacious open office space, which 7scenes is sharing with Fairphone (the first fair smartphone in the world) and other creative companies, which has been originated from (research) projects by the Waag Society.

During the meeting project partners analyzed already implemented activities, as well as discussed future cooperation. Furthermore, a part of this meeting was organized as a workshop for creating mobile apps and webpages.

The Risk Change project (2016–2020) is funded by the EU Programme Creative Europe, activities in Latvia are co-funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.

About the project: Risk Change will refect and co-construct migration policies in EU and wider in innovative ways. EU is building internal walls (Hungary, Bulgaria, UK and France), without a common strategy on migration and human rights. Mass media stages problems: once asylum seekers are victims, then potential terrorists; some media represent racist non-migrant policies etc. A broader view is very rare.

Art, science and culture are able to rise above simplistic humanitarian or extreme right wing approaches and point out a complex relationship of local spaces and global forces. Contemporary migration tests EU identity and diversity, common culture and philosophy.
