18. un 19. novembrī, 2016, Vīnē norisināsies seminārs, kas veltīts kritiskajai interneta kultūrai. Tajā piedalīeses arī RIXC dibinātāja, kuratore un māksliniece Rasa Šmite, daloties pieredzē par RIXC un tīkla kultūru 1990. – 2000. gados un iezīmēs nākotnes perspektīvas.

Research Questions:

Which are the technopolitical assemblages that can subvert and transgress the problematic power of facebook and co.?

Which kinds of postmedia devices could be developed for and within emancipatory transformations?

What can we learn from the different generations of alternative publishing projects (e.g. in arts, feminist contexts, the “new social movements” after 1968, the net-culture of the 1990s, n-1 and other alternative social media projects of the 2000s)?

How to develop (further) translocal and heterolingual machines of publication that thwart the logics of mediation and the separation of production and translation/publishing?
