With the support of the European Union's Creative Europe programme, the European Media Art Platform (EMAP) is now accepting applications for its 2027 residency programme.

Artists, artist duos, collectives, and other collaborations working in digital, media, robotic, and bio art can apply for a two-month production residency at one of 15 host institutions across Europe. Every applicant works with a collaborating partner — already on board, or found along the way.

The residency includes a €4,000 grant for the applying artist, €2,000 for the collaborating partner, a separate €4,000 production budget, free accommodation, and access to the host institution's studios and labs. Selected work can go on to be presented by EMAP's network of more than 150 partner institutions and becomes part of EMAP's permanent media art archive.

Applications open 3 September 2026. Deadline: 6 November 2026, 2:00 pm CET.
