On October 24, at 12:40, in the Neiburgs Hotel, in workshop 'Digital Technologies and Human Consciousness: A Futures Workshop for Exploring Potential Implications', Finnish researcher Terho Ohella-Jarventa will reveal how, in recent decades, digital technologies have become so intertwined in everyday activities and events that they have transformed human behaviour with unforeseen consequences.
The advent of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, brain-computer interfaces and nanotechnologies has increased the likelihood that the future impact of digital technologies will reach unprecedented levels, expanding human consciousness. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to address this topic using a futures-based clinical approach to identify drivers and barriers to change, as well as potential societal impacts, through a variety of future scenarios of digitally induced changes in states of consciousness (DIAL), potential benefits and risk mitigation strategies.
