We are delighted to announce that RIXC Board Member and media artist Jānis Garančs will present his new work Latent Dictatorship Spirals at the Ars Electronica Festival 2025 in Linz, Austria.
Latent Dictatorship Spirals (8’30’’) is a multi-channel audio composition — a speculative narrative tracing the life-cycle of a virus-like AI entity as it evolves within a virtual habitat. Oscillating between chaos and rigid order, the piece reflects an arc from primal disorder to seductive systems of control, culminating in self-imposed destruction. The soundscape combines AI-generated harmonies and voices with sonic fragments derived from war drone recordings, weaving a powerful auditory journey of euphoria, delusion, awe, and unease.
