"Do plants think? Shaking up our existing relationship with nature, the idea of plant intelligence offers a new perspective. We have believed that it is precisely the mind and the ability to think rationally that distinguish humans from other beings and even elevate us above them. The assumption that plants are also capable of analyzing information, making decisions, learning, and solving problems not only radically changes our view of the plant world, but also challenges the definition of what it means to be human."
