Exhibitions produced by RIXC: http://rixc.org/en/exhibitions/
The priority of RIXC Gallery is supporting and exhibiting professional contemporary artists who work at the intersection of art, science and technology. RIXC Gallery represent both young and established Latvian new media artists.
For more than 20 years RIXC Center for New Media Culture in Riga has been challenging the notion of art and contemporary aesthetics producing the artworks, curating novelty exhibitions, organizing annual art, science and digital culture festival, and publishing academic books on artistic research. In 2016 RIXC eventually founded its own Gallery – in the place of previous RIXC Media Space, located in the building of Latvian Artists Union.
We opened new gallery space in May 2017 which is located in the latest focal area for contemporary art and culture in Riga, in the very middle of axis connecting two Latvian contemporary art centers and the forthcoming Latvian Museum of Contemporary Art (to be opened by year 2021).
