Jacob Remin's practice is a critical meditation over technology and the power structures it creates. in a world based on technology, Jacob Remin questions the norm and the natural, while creating spaces for conversation. his works are manifested in the meeting between light, space, composition and interaction. Jacob Remin normally lives and works in copenhagen, denmark. In 2 months during the autumn of 2018, Jacob Remin has lived in RIXC gallery apartment in riga and the RIXC rural lab, just outside Talsi. the time spent in latvia has been focused on the wonders of non-production as a mental playground. The production fee of this pop-up exhibition is being spent to bring a variety of friends and colleagues to Riga to join the conversation. During a 48 hour pop up exhibition / robot rave, people and machines are brought together in an array of informal encounters, sharing sessions and fantastically non-productive hangout time.
