Rute Marta Jansone. Smoulder. 2023.
The exhibition artwork identifies the components of the individual's unconscious layer, which reveals the different nature of the humans, its origins and identification with the help of psychoanalysis - the images of the archetypes. Exhibition is a collage that combines video recordings, photogrammetric scans, 3D animations, performance recordings, nature footage and prose texts, centered on innate human behaviors and personality patterns. The artwork includes a multi-layered arrangement of poetic images and symbols; at the same time, it is both a psychological self-portrait of the author and a landscape of images of the collective unconscious. The artist has purposefully made space for the individual interpretation of each viewer, by interacting with the artwork the observer becomes an important element in the reality of the work.
