From February 8 to 10, 2018, art science projects "Talk to Me" by Latvian artists Rasa Smite and Raitis Smits, and "Cloud Farming" by Rihards Vitols are displayed at the Arts and Sciences Biennale "Experimenta 2018" in Grenoble, France. Every time it takes place, Biennale “Experimenta” reflects current events of the world, wanting to know what is going on and unpuzzling what people can do for their own benefit and for the benefit of others. To achieve this, the Biennale brings together artists, scientists and technology experts. This time twenty-three art installations, performances, and creative workshops take part in the Biennale. This art event is visited by approximately 6,000 people each time.

"Talk to Me" is an artistic study by artists Rasa Smite and Raitis Smits about communication between people and plants, which in particular aims to explore the relationship between nature and human, biology and technology, biological and social processes. At the centre of this interactive exhibition is human – plant communication and artists ask the question: “Do plants grow better, taller and more beautiful if people talk to them?” We invite everyone to express encouraging words to the biennale plant via the internet: Online text messages will be "read" to the plants round the clock. You will also be able to choose whether you wish your message to be played in male or female voice.

"Cloud Farming" project by Rihards Vitols is a unique method of how people will be able to gain drinking water on a daily bases. Within next two decades drinking water available on land will no longer be available in nutrition; therefore, in future people will timely have begun to collect data on the sky density of their property. The higher the density, the more expensive the property. This leads to a new type of economy – cloudfarming. Vītols predicts that in future people will maintain balloon farms.
