This year's RIXC Art Science Festival "Crypto, Art and Climate" will take place in Riga, Latvia and online from September 20-22, 2023, discussing how new digital developments such as Web 3.0, blockchain and artificial intelligence are currently changing the landscape of art and culture, and how artists are using these new technologies in their work to tackle major contemporary issues such as climate change.
The festival will begin with the international exhibition opening taking place on Wednesday, September 20 at 19:00 at the National Library of Latvia, featuring artworks by international and Latvian artists, as well as by EMAP/EMARE residency program artists. The festival exhibition will be on view until November 11, 2023, at the Latvian National Library.
