On March 2025, the open call for the RIXC Immersive Art and Nature Residency will be announced!

Four two-month residencies for artists from different regions are planned to take place at RIXC in Riga, Latvia, and the RIXC Fields Residency, a rural location near Talsi, Latvia, between June 2, 2025, and December 30, 2025.

This residency program is designed for artists working with immersive technologies (XR/VR/AR/AI), digital art, data visualization, sonification, machine learning, and related fields. The program fosters socio-ecological connections by integrating nature with cutting-edge immersive technologies, breaking boundaries between the digital and natural worlds, and encouraging the infusion of nature into urban environments.

RIXC Residency Studio (in Riga)

The residency programme offers two residency accommodations. Residencies No. 2–4, will be based in RIXC Residency Studio in Riga, Latvia. RIXC Residency Studio is located right next to the RIXC Gallery on Lencu iela 2, City Center of Riga, in the very heart of Riga's contemporary and historic cultures with famous Art Nouveau buildings, near famous Alberta street.

Artists in Riga will be provided with access to the internet, shared laboratory space, mediatheque, and digital production equipment. For educational programs, workshops and exhibitions RIXC offers the gallery space, as well as its expertise and assistance to artists.

RIXC Fields Residency

RIXC Fields Residency is a rural residency located at the Salinas country house, near the city of Talsi. The residency space provides an access and space for carrying out growing experiments, as well as agricultural, forest and fields related artistic research.
