Transwold Telephone Concert (1988)

Transworld Telephone Concert is second edition of this kind of event, where musicians and performers where hooked up by an international conference call. First Transworld telephone concert took place 1986. Transworld Telephone Concert gathered together artists from seven different places – Katmandu, Damask, San Francisco, Gambia, Riga, Frankfurt and city X - which was found out as Moscow. They played music to each other over the phone. There was also sharing of photos – by fax. After an introduction and roll-call, each group, one at a time played a three minute musical piece, which is heard by all others. In center of event was Frankfurt with main coordinator – Micky Remann. The point of Transworld Telephone Concert was not so much to talk to the worlds, as to listen to her music and celebrate her sounds.
